Building an unshakable faith in your God

The famous philosopher Bertrand Russell was born into a Christian home and was taught to believe in God. Later on in life, however, he became an outspoken atheist, criticizing the idea of religious belief and advancing the belief in no God through his writings.

His daughter, Katherine Tait, said of him around the time of his death, "Somewhere at the bottom of his heart, in the depths of his soul, there was an empty space that once had been filled by God, and he never found anything else to put in it."

It's interesting how in the history of mankind, no civilization has existed that is purely atheistic and doesn't acknowledge some kind of higher spiritual existence. Yet in recent years, many "new atheists" have become bent on spreading the 'gospel' of atheism and liberating the world from belief in a higher power.

But inside of every person is the desire to worship a higher power - a desire unexplainable by naturalistic human evolution. This is what C.S. Lewis referred to when he said, "If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world."

God is real. And it's His reality that makes Him worthy of our praise. Worship God with full confidence that He's real and He loves you!
