God will provide
Trusting God's provision frees us from consuming worry while still calling us to work faithfully and depend on Him.
Have you ever taken a moment to simply watch a child at play - maybe one of your own children or grandkids?
Did you notice how carefree they are? And this lack of worry doesn't only happen when they are playing, it's just how they live. Most children don't worry about where they will get their next meal or change of clothing. That's because, for the most part, kids leave those kinds of things to their parents. They trust mom or dad to give them what they need.
In his Sermon on the Mount, found in the book of Matthew, Jesus says we are not to worry about those things either. He says that if God feeds and clothes the birds of the air, then he'll certainly provide for us, his most precious creation.
Much like children who trust their parents for food, clothes, and shelter, we are to trust our heavenly father to provide for our needs.
This does not mean you cease to work hard, or complacently wait for your needs to be met. It means that these things should not consume you with worry.
When you trust that God, in his loving nature, will provide for you, then worry does not control your life.
Just as you provide for your own children, and as God sustains the birds and flowers he's created, God will also meet every need of your according to his purposes.
