Do not be afraid

In 2005, a fellow pastor and I went to India to assist some missionaries. After a long flight, our plane was finally descending to the airport in the city of New Delhi. But there was a problem – the winds at the airport were strong and powerful, and the plane was rocking side to side. Other people face their chairs forward—they want to see where they’re going!” Lucy looks at her puzzled client and asks, “On the cruise ship of life, Charlie Brown, which way is your deck chair facing?”

Two Powerful Prayers to Transform Your Life

It was a beautiful summer evening and Joanie and I were enjoying a picnic with our friends, Buddy and Susie. Suddenly, Buddy grabbed his throat with panic in his eyes. We could tell he couldn’t breathe—seemingly from a food obstruction. Joanie jumped up from the table and performed the Heimlich maneuver on Buddy, causing the obstructing food to pop out like a cork. Wow! It happened so quickly and we all gave thanks to the Lord for the outcome—especially Buddy!
